DECLINED Insurance UPDATE
« on: June 30, 2015 - 05:06:05 PM »
I got declined insurance from Hagarty because in the on line application I put a foot note that the car is actively for sale  :screwy: Apparently they don't insure cars that one day you might sell :swear:

Why Hagerty ? Your not going to have it long, maybe your regular insurance company.  :dunno:

Alan who did you deal with at Hagerty? They insure allot of cars that are for sale, have you had a policy with them before?  If so I think I'd call them & ask WTF.. I know a guy who deals in classic cars & he has them insure allot of cars for sale....  Odd...

Call her back and tell they probably need to cancel at least 3/4 of all their policies as I know of no one who has no intention of ever selling. Maybe not today, but sometime it will happen. :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley:

I wonder if they consider you a "Dealer" and if that makes a difference?   :clueless:

My buddy that I mentioned above is a licensed dealer & when he has a car of collectibility in his inventory Hagerty is his insurance carrier.. Generic cars are through a normal policy...

Maybe because they call their program a Vintage car program, not classic.  :dunno:
