Need Help with part differences !!!!!

ok guys.....figured this is the place to ask these questions.......please help me out....I have a 1970 challenger and I'm looking to change out my hood latch....Want to keep my hood more secure on outings and want to remove the outside handle latch and move it to the inside......Am I able to swap these parts out with the 72-74 version with the cable ??

Second Question is about the rear quarter trim moldings.....What is the difference between the 70 only version and the 71-74 version ? different shape ? I am in need of the pass side trim molding and all I can fine on the cheap is the 71-74 version. Let me know guys !!!

70 trunklid trim does not have the ridge in it that the later trim does. I think the later inside hood release works but someone else will know for sure.
