You dont have to be one but you have to ship through a licensed dealer.
I have used gunbroker numerous times to buy and sell. Just locate a nearby dealer to you and ask what they charge.
Gunbroker also has a great tutorial and FAQ's that you should read.

My father in law bought a used ppk .380 for $350, and it looked brand new. So I'd put $300 on that one. The H&K will have a cult following, lots of folks like those guns and they tend to hold value. They go for around $1000 brand new. I'd say a fair value for yours looks to be $700-750.

I highly recommend Gunbroker.com and use an FFL to insure the item does not fall into the hands of the wrong person. You will get a good price for the items there as well. Summertime is not the best time to list, so if possible, wait until the Fall and the buyers will be more plentiful.

At this time where the libs want to abolish the 2nd amendment, everyone should take the higher road to protect what few rights we have left. Good Luck!  :2thumbs:

Gunbroker.com is a good place for national trade, but I believe they take a percentage of the price you get. In my state (UT) we have a website for statewide firearms classifieds. And with those you don't normally have to pay anything. I'd check local gun stores and see if they know of an online classifieds like that. I personally don't worry about selling guns through an ffl, just get the guys name and drivers license number written down for your records, along with the serial number of the gun. Unless you really want to make sure it goes to someone that can have it, then most firearms stores can do a transfer for a fee (usually $25).

I've also used www.armslist.com before. don't think you need to have a license to list, but it's a best practice to meet the seller at an agreed dealer and have the dealer run the checks and registration as you state/county require. find a dealer that will do it first, most will.

 :iagree: :iagree:

I do have a buddy who purchased the same HK for 550 last winter.  So somewhere in that 550-750 range.

Gun transfers and gun registration is against the constitution.  Just my two cents.  Hitler said that a perfect society is one that has all of it's guns registered.  Think about that.  :2cents: :2cents: :2cents:

Gun transfers and gun registration is against the constitution.

in the State of CO it's illegal to register your firearm, but you still have to go through the background checks to purchase from a dealer (there is no requirement on a deal between private parties). different rules and regs depending on what State you reside.
