With the suspension work also to be done hopefully will get it back in about 3 weeks. Then off to the convertible top shop, then to friend's shop for the bigger rear, then back home and put the sway bars on, then blah, blah,blah,etc.,etc.Waking me when it's all done.

I got lucky with the engine. Now I gotta get lucky again.

Well Topcat I truly thank  you for the kind words. I now at least feel that some of the hard work is paying off. I'm the first guy who'll tell you, that some luck is made for you and some  luck you got to make for yourself. It's amazing how many guys you tell them let's get up at 5 on Sunday and be first on line at the swap meets, and they tell you they don't get up before 10 am on Sunday. I'm far from independently wealthy, so I have had to use the best skills that I have. That means knowing what parts you are looking at, and what it's worth, and not insulting the seller. Acquiring some parts  cheap to be used to trade for more expensive parts that you need.

Went to the shop with a chevy guy. He was very impressed with the work that has been done. Car was in a tight spot so had to take an awkward picture of the 1/4. In my unqualified opinion, the job is ahead of schedule. Chevy guy also said that he wasn't expecting them to pay attention to detail, such as taking out the window. He also believes from what he saw that everything from here is a cake. The car starts up on the first try. Just have to put up the rest of the exhaust.

Yes, Rusty this is the same one.The car is originally red. Trying to figure out all day if I want to put the side scoops on, or not. Top is originally white with a black interior. So trying to figure out white top with white stripes. Black top with black stripes, and black blackout on the hood. Any suggestions would be appreciated. :dontknow:

Realizing how much stuff you don't think about till the car is almost done. Bumpers, mouldings, stripes, etc. Could still cost you a few dollars at this point, but got to be worth it. 8)

Not much going on this week with the challenger, but probably my fault. I told the shop owner that most convertible top guys would rather do the top before the car is painted, So he let me order the new top and related parts. Was able to use the Year One 20% discount that expired yesterday. So I saved alot of money. Don't understand the high cost of shipping though. They wouldn't even take my money for the bumpers, because the vendor is telling them that they won't be ready till the end of July.

Getting bumpers has been tough from what I've heard...or at least keeping some in stock. At least they didn't take your money and say they would be there whenever...

BTW, that is going to be a sharp Chally when you get it back
