Daily Driver 70 Challenger
« on: July 03, 2015 - 05:26:52 PM »
Here are a few pictures of the 70 Challenger I picked up a couple of months ago.  I've been using it as my daily driver the past couple of weeks and am really enjoying it!  My first Mopar :)

Thanks for the comments guys!  @Katfish the seats are from Arizen Racing Sports.  I had them in my '69 Mach 1 and temporarily put them in the Challenger, but I like the look in the Challenger and will probably keep them there.   @Dayley I don't keep track of MPG...when it's empty, I fill it up :)

Neat car. Driving them every day is where it's at. I'd like to do that again some day.

Paint / body look better in the pictures than in real life.  Body work and paint is next but nor sure what color yet...too many to choose from!!

I daily drove mine for a bit last year also, was a blast. Really helped me decide what I wanted to change about the car.

Did you remove the trim lip around the fenders and hood or was it like that?

I actually removed a lot of the trim pieces.  I like to keep it really simple.  I also removed the trim around the headlights and made some covers from lexan :)

Cool stuff. How did you secure the lexan covers over the headlights? Any up close pictures?

Here are a few pictures of the Headlight covers I made.  Just made cardboard templates of the shape, masked out the round headlight shapes and painted black.  I was just not a fan of the chrome around the front.

Here are a couple of pictures of the Satellite.  I also blacked out some of the front to my liking :)

That is the style I am looking at for my second mopar....big block, flat black, real seats, and to be driven daily!
