I'm looking to buy a general repair manual - body / mechanical issues etc.   Which manual do you find the best?  I have a 71 cuda.

Thanks!

I don't know about a 71, but my 74 has two field manuals- a large service one and a separate body one. I bought them at one of the swap meets for about $30-40 I believe. The problem with Haynes or Chilton, is that they don't go into the same depth of detail as the FSM's do. Just my  :2cents:

In my opinion anything other than the factory shop manuals is a waste of money.  The factory parts manuals add some very pertinent information in addition to parts numbers as well.

I prefer every manual I can get my hands on.  The more the merrier.  Each book you get will say something the others didn't.

I like the CD version because I can just print off what I need and not worry about getting it dirty or writing on it.( just print more) I also keep the wiring diagrams  in my glove box just in case I have an issue on the road?

CHilton and Haynes, IMHO,  are way to general in nature.  FSM is the way to go for your particular model
