On time for the injestors.. 100% duty cycle means the injectors are maxed out & not really capable of supporting the engines needs.. Typically you want to max out around 75-80%

Does anyone know if I could use the Pro Flo XT with 50-55 lb/hour injectors and the Megasquirt 3 system?

Also, I'm having a REALLY hard time deciding between the F&B Six Pack EFI system, and doing a custom job with the Pro Flo XT manifold. Is the F&B compatible with an MS3-Pro controller, or does it absolutely have to use the FAST system? Also, is a fuel sump system required or recommended for EFI?

Pro flo xt  with megasquirt, coil near plug, fuel pump in gas tank
Haven't started it yet.   Not sure if rally hood will clear intake.




There's another guy on this forum with the XT and he has an R/T Rallye hood, his cleared just fine so I'm pretty sure you're good.

Yes I saw that car but couldn't find the thread recently.  I have the viper transmission and a barracuda so I hope it fits,  I'm sure it will be close.  The higher up the transmission the lower the front of the engine where the throttle body is,  and that where it might interfere.

My car has 52 lb injectors and megasquirt 3,  I haven't run it yet so I can't tell anything more about it.  I built the megasquirt myself and the whole system is do it yourself.  for the most part.  I built a crank trigger wheel and my own gas tank.   I'm sure the FAST system or Edelbrock systems would be easier, but cost more.

its a wheel that is welded to the back of the crank pulley.  It has 36 teeth with one tooth missing so its called a 36-1.  The missing tooth tells the computer where TDC is.

What are all the parts required for me to piece together the Edelbrock system using a Megasquirt 3 or FAST XFI 2.0 system?

There are many ways to do it and you need to know what you want.
Example,  I could have used a distributor with one coil , but I went with 8 coils near the plugs
If you run wasted spark or bank fire injectors  you don't need a cam sensor or dual sync distributor

Well, I'm starting to like the idea of maybe just buying the Pro Flo XT kit and switching out a few things, like the controller and the injectors. It'd probably be a lot simpler. I like the idea of fully sequential. What are bank fire injectors?

The opposite of Sequential... Typically two banks of four injectors are fired..

Look on line.  There are a couple main suppliers for Megasquirt.  They also have very informative test builds to show how to run with minimal to full on conversions.

Be prepared to read. I am (albeit slowly) converting mine. It will be in stages as it is a home build and am learning as I go.

In Bluefish's post above he's showing a trigger wheel for a crank sensor.. Whats called a 36 minus 1... One tooth every ten degrees would be 36 teeth... But by removing one tooth & keeping the other teeth spaced the same the missing tooth identifies # 1 cylinder TDC...

Cam sensor is handled by the sensor installed where the distributor belongs... I forget who makes it but there is a very nice adapter sold that allows a Jeep sensor to bolt on to a 440...

There is also the issue of legally using this fuel-injected car on the street. Is a '70 Challenger a pre-pollution control vehicle? If I swap the engine that was previously in it for the 440, does it make it legal? I'm going by what I saw on Holley and Edelbrock's website
