I have a 1971 stock 383 Challenger with manifolds and a TTI exhaust.  I use the Dynomax VT mufflers and really like them.  Very little drone and they sound
nice when you jump on it.  I drive a fair amount of miles and was looking for a nice cruiser going down the road.  Jeff

I had the 3" TTI h-pipe exhaust on my 440 Challenger. After a couple years I decided to remove the Dyno-max mufflers and replace them with the Flowmasters. WHAT A MISTAKE!!! I absolutely HATED THEM!!! The sound of the car outside was loud and sounded good BUT inside the car the drone was horrible. I ripped them off and replaced them with the Dyno-max mufflers. It was an expensive mistake I will never make again.

Have stock exhaust and was too muffled. Removed resinators and mufflers and installed dynomax super turbos. Sounds great and no drone.

I had Hooked Aero Chambers on my 440 and didn't like them, to loud. Must be my age because my son thought they sounded good, lol. I now have Dynamax and they are much better. I was getting some droning but it pretty much went any after I put Dynamat all thru the interior.

Thanks, I'm very happy with how it turned out. I did have a $$ number in mind and of course I exceeded it but it really exceeded my expectations on the dyno as well.
I pretty much just told by builder what I wanted out of it and with some discussion of pros and cons, this is what we ended up with.

Crane Cams Full roller cam, solid lifters.
SR246/362-2S-8IG , .543/.561 L/S: 104 Int. C/L: 108
418 C.I. .040 over, 4.00 inch stroke.
KB Icon forged Pistons, Scat forged Crank, I Beam Rods, LD340 intake, Quick Fuel 650 DP, Eddy Performer heads straight out of the box, Accel Distributor, Rev-N-Nator electronic ignition.
480 HP @ 5700 RPM and 511 torque @ 4300 RPM
It's a A833 4-speed car, 8-3/4 with 3.55:1 sure grip

A long list of things I would like to do and a couple of them will get crossed off this winter...  :working: Only 2 things hold me back, time and money!  :money:

Thanks Jim. The video is from April 2014, just before repaint.
A week later it was in the paint shop...

This is what made me decide on TTI and Dynomax Ultra Flows
I listened to a lot of cars but none grabbed me like this one.
I don't know the owner of this car but I do love 69 Fastbacks [My first car 69 Fastback 340 manual shift auto] and this one sounds awesome!
I think he needs a little wider rear tires. Definitely some room left back there... :ylsuper:

That's the sound I want/like! Right now my car has flow masters not nearly as good sounding as those.
Love hearing him chirp when it shifts gears! I heard a 3rd gear chirp too!  :burnout: :bananasmi

I've have a full Magnaflow set in my Challenger and it has a nice sound like the 'cuda above (nice car by the way!) I had flowmasters before. With the MF, it is a whole different car, it stopped the drone too...
