NHRA To Announce HUGE Changes In Pro Stock Soon??

Personally, I think it is a step in the right direction. Going from these unobtanium billet million dollar engines to more what the factories are building for the public. AND  --  going from these almost funny car style bodies to "slightly modified" Mustangs, Challengers, and Camaros bodies. Anyway, it might just be rumor at this point, but Pro Stock can't continue down the same path because the fields grow smaller every year. I think the racing fans would also get behind a car that is more like the cars they drive on the street. What do you all think?

I like the idea, especially since the big 3 already make a track version of their car.  The NHRA needs to make some of these type of changes if it is going to revive itself and get more people coming to the track.

I think it's a great idea...The current "Pro Stocks" should move to a "Pro Mod" class and leave "stock" for a more stock appearing car that the Joe Average fan can relate to....Like the old days....

I have no interest in watching these carbon fiber blobs that they're racing today.

NASCAR has the same folks running it that have been in charge for decades.

At least NHRA has a new President and he is stating that changes are coming - it seems that this Pro Stock update is just the beginning. Hey - at least he is going to try something and see if things get better. NASCAR seems ok with dwindling attendance and lower TV audiences. They are stuck in a bad rut. Props to the new NHRA Prez for at least trying.

COOL Darrell aldermans car,i remember that car well,sat in his pits and was in his car hauler shooting the breeze with him years ago at B.I.R Nationals back in the eighties.THE DODGE BOYS==SCOTT GEOFFROIN WAS THE OTHER DRIVER i beleive,thaat's back when they dominated pro stock before someone broke in their shop and smashed up their engines.  those were the good ol days.

It was normal to walk into the pit and see Darrell wrenching on the car and see him stop to autograph a little kids t-shirt. Unlike the movie stars of today that schedule their autograph session from 3:04 - 3:37pm...
