:2thumbs:   But heck we don't want a refund, just the correct parts. We like the product, should only take 5 minutes to issue an ra, ship correct parts. I have the wrong parts packed, ready to send back.

I agree, but sometimes cash is the only way to get them to pay attention to you.  Right now, they have your money and shipped you parts (wrong parts but still shipped them) so you are not a net new sale just a PITA customer who has an issue.  You have been moved to the back of the line.  I don't like it either, and as previously stated, customer service is king and forums like this will spread the word and they will lose some business from it.

Yea, your right. We went thru months of this with Keisler on the initial big transmission conversion purchase, very frustrating. I even posted something on their FB page, no response. But they have that set up so that others can't see your post till they review it.

Boy have I been there... Just got done doing battle with a vendor, in the end I got what I paid for but it took 2.5 months.. Which delayed getting a project out the door... Luckily I sandbagged the due date allowing for issues.. Not the end of the world but time is money & I'd much rather pay a fair price & get what I paid for promptly...

My issues were with a big vendor who supplies industrial components, I could have saved quite a bit by sourcing Chinese stuff but I prefer not to...  Lucky I sandbagged & didn't disappoint the customer cause I got a second order from the company that I'd supplied the first systems to.....

Week before last, ordered the same components this time from a supplier in China.. Hate to do it but I needed to do something, the DILLIGAF attitude shown by the big vendor can't/won't be accepted...

Already received the parts, exact same parts... The parts that were supposed to be US made... Not.. I paid less than half including shipping, got my parts in about 1.5 weeks & have had follow up communication from the seller checking to see if I was satisfied... Doesn't matter what country your in, some people understand customer service & some never will....

I dont get it:  One man is on vacation, so there is a delay?    Its a one man show?  Sorry fellas, it just don't wash with me.  Customer service keeps going when a man is gone..............

Has anyone gotten any kind of compensation for the bad service the have recieved?

The longer this thread goes the more I wonder....  Just how much nonsense are we ( as car guys) willing to put up with. These companies get the cash and then ....  :faint: on an on it goes. Sometimes that "good deal" really isn't. I wouldn't want to treat my customers that way. Its bull$#!+, and yet lots of us ( the collective of muscle car/hot rod) guys out there put up with it. You know theres got to be a ton of guys not on any of the forums anywhere, that you never even hear their story. NOT acceptable!

There should be a YELP focused on car parts vendors that sell either aftermarket or OEM reproduction parts.

At least that way, they might try and change their attitude on the feedback they receive.

As said earlier, some are arrogant and they know they're the few or only of that type of part or application and don't give a damn regarding customer complaints.

I have issues with some vendor every year. I am currently waiting for steering box bolts that I ordered in February. Or in the past a one week delivery that takes a month. Or 'it's in stock, we'll get it right out to you'. Then get a phone message that it is back ordered and will take 6 weeks. Or just the wrong part shows up in a box that has the correct part number on the outside.
In the last six years or so there has been only two companies that have performed flawlessly in my experience.
Rock Auto and Roseville.  :2cents:
Dave at Roseville even made exchanging parts easy when the screw-up was my fault.  :ylsuper:

...and for us who lives on the other side of the planet, this problem is multiplied, if I get the wrong or bad parts, its a PITA to deal with custom forms, return shipping etc. I usually test the customer service level of the companies I order from by a few e-mails with questions before I order, many companies fail that. Summit has been good, Firmfeel, US Car Tool, Hydratech and Dr.Diff  service had been excellent. Year One sent some bad parts, created problems, but the corrected it at their cost though.

Anything I ever order I first see if Summit carrys it. IMHO they are the best.     :2thumbs:

The one thing I will say about Dave from Roseville is that not only is he A++++++, he goes out of his way to help you.

Several times he has reminded me of parts which go with the part I am ordering which helped incredibly because I wasn't delayed ordering it for the second time. Dave also has an amazing wealth of knowledge of parts, cannot be beat.

I've dealt with Glenn a few times and same awesome service. I ordered a part online and turns out they actually didn't have it. He told me to call him and he told me aboout some other places that may have the part. 2 days later he calls me to know if I still wanted it. He found one and got it just in case I did and I did. That is what service is. That is someone that cares. That is someone that likes their job.

Dave is a first class act.  It seems like when I order something there's a little extra like a shirt or something in the carton.  Dave is always competitive but even if he wasn't I would still buy from him because he makes ordering so easy and he's so helpful.

Just curious if your issue has been resolved?  Try contacting Gray Frederick - he's one of the owners of American Powertrain.  I'm not sure who Tony is there?  I've never dealt with him.

Not resolved yet. I'm tired of being on perma hold, or leaving my number and never getting a call back.
I'm sure Tony is just one of the phone guys, but to never call me back    :stomp: Thanks for the tip, I will call Gray Frederick, and if I have to leave my number and he doesn't call me back then were getting on a plane and fly there, and if I have to scream and holler I'm going to get the correct parts. Then I'm going to have a beer or 6  :drunk:  and fly home.  Thanks for the tip bigblue.
