Very nice eye for detail.    Its good to see someone getting close to the end of the road for a restoration.   Gives us inspiration to get out there on a day when we just dont feel like doing something on our car.    I tip my hat to anyone who sticks it out and finishes something they started.

LMAO!  Thanks 4C, thanks a lot mate.

The straps are plain steel but have been coated in some rust protective clear seal.
Valve covers are chrome.
Rallye hood!?!?!?! Are you kidding thats one of my favorite pieces!!!  :grinyes:

As for the valve covers etc that is something I'll let the photos describe when I get them. It's VERY different and in my years of looking at engine bay photos of MoPars I can't recall seeing one like how mine will be. Not "waaaaaay" different, just a touch of uniqueness.

The front brake set up is a MP Brakes kit. I would have kept my originals but I needed to replace my left front spindle but couldn't find a replacement so we decided to upgrade and save time and improve braking. Was a great call.  ;D

Thank you so much everyone for the comments.  :)

More photos in weeks to come.  ;)

NZ, maybe I should correct myself on where you live. I thought that New Zealand is a place where the weather is hopiitable. Yet, you are building it like your'e driving to Alaska. So far, you put stuff under the wheels, powder coated the trans pan.etc.  I realize you will drive it a lot. But, is this all necessary?

Yip, the A/C was working fine before. Was missing the center duct which was kindly given to me by REV so now the air gets spread around rather than at my left foot.   As far as I'm aware the A/C pieces are been taken care of and all parts are accounted for. Compressor etc have been blasted etc cleaned and awaiting install. Theres a few pieces to go in before the A/C does. There is a big YearOne order coming and that has some major engine bay players in it, 50% of the tubes/clamps/brackets/hoses. Rad top and low. Rear lamp harness, horn, battery tray kit etc. Be a month or so before the engine bay REALLY comes to life.  :grinyes: :grinyes: :grinyes: :grinyes:

Thanks once again for the kind words 4C  :) :wasted:

Hopitable? Whats that mean?  I guess it means fair, nothing harsh. Hot summers, mild winters.  ;) True as that is this car is what I like to call a no worries car. Once this is complete I don't wanna worry about ANYTHING. The sealed underside isn't over the top. It's basically a rubber compound that is great for sound deadning and protection. If I see a gravel road and want to drive it - I will.  :grinyes: 8) (Carefully)  The stuff under the wheels is only carrying on from the underside. We thought we may as well keep it going.

This car IS a driver.  ;D So to answer you question simply - No this is not necessary but it also helps.  ;)

Looking nice !      :worship:

Do you have any pics of "before" of the motor with the A/C compressor in place ?   Your car had A/C to begin with IIRC ?
