First I thought you were talking about me when I saw the headline!  :woo:

Seriously tho...  :2cents: There's tons of great dogs that need help through NO FAULT OF THERE OWN. 99% of "dog" problems are stupid people problems. As some of you know I'm partial to GSD's myself. I couldn't believe the amount of GSD rescues within 100 miles of me, it rains GSD's in Chicago. It's pits here in Milwaukee, anyway... Pick a breed... if you can do nothing else send the local rescue  or humane organization $5.

I got go on a rant here for an hour,  but I wont (not yet anyway).   :sadwavey:

Good crap, I wrote like 4 paragraphs and didn't send it! lol.
OK - I'll condense it. ALL of my dogs have been "throwaways" or "discarded" animals.

Some have behavior problems, but that can be over come with TLC, sometimes to an extent.
I love all the dogs that I have had. My chow lived until 16 1/2 years, my lab mix until 18 years old. I've had lot's and lot's of dogs.

The more people I know, the more I love my dogs. I love them all, quirks an and all. Of course not all lived that long. Had Dolly, only 5 years. She died of lymphoma. Brutal for her and me as well.
Never went through anything like that - and never hope to again.

I knew all my dogs and they knew me. Except for the Chow, lol. She had a mind of her own,
Smartest dog that has ever owned me. We were tight. Seriously, the smartest dog I have ever seen in my life. She was SO ****ing cool. Never seen another dog even come close to her.
It's true that they are a one person dog.
I just thank the lord that I got to spend my time with her. Most dogs are comparable 1 - 2 year old intelligence.  RoyBuss was probably 8 -9 year old. She had it going on.
She would play tricks on the other dogs that I had at the time. She rocked, lol. God, she used to piss me off at times. I would call her to come in - and she would go slowly, S L O W L Y  sniff the flowers, then look at me, then wag her tail slowly, then go back to
sniffing the flowers, lol. She would SLOWLY wag her tail. then go back to sniffing the flowers. SLOWLY, lol. Look at me, then go back to sniffing the flowers. lol Infuriated me! lol. And she knew it. She only did that when I called her.
She also knew that she was the chosen one, and could never get in any trouble. She would set the other doggies up for the fall. lol.

Sometimes you hit a home run with throwaway dogs. Other times you might have behavorial problems. Either way, it's all good. The smart dogs will teach the slower dogs.
TLC is the answer. LOT"S and LOT"S of TLC. It might take awhile, but they will come around. And be the best friend you have ever had.
