I found original "build sheet" behind rear seat....is it a "big deal" to have??

I bought a 71 Challenger a few months ago.  Today, I found the original Chrysler build sheet between the rear seat back (between the fabric and springs). 

Is that a big deal to have this piece of paper?  If so.....for what?

It is a big deal to know exactly how your car was optioned. Colour, trim options etc. If you are going to build your 71 Challenger as you want rather than restore to factory spec, then it's no big deal.

It shows some options that are not on the fender tag in my case I have a 1970 Challenger that came with the factory power sunroof option it is not listed on the fender tag but it is on the build sheet. If I didn't have the build sheet there is no way of knowing or proving it was original and not something someone added. Also if your fender tags go missing it will help if you need repos made, any factory documents are great I have another document to do with brake tests performed on my car when new and the original owners hand book with the original owner and dealers names typed on the first page great items that cannot be reproduced and add to the pedigree of the car.

Absolutely.  Having a build sheet adds value to future owners.  And will help your sale of the car later down the road.   Make copies and put them in each set of springs in the seats. 
Put the original in a non acid clear plastic folder and stuff it above your glove box. 

Definitely keep it around.

keep it! they are not commonly found, especially after 40+ years squished between the seats. + it adds value to the legitimacy of the car/options. they are even harder to find on LA built cars. as others stated, make copies and keep the original safe and sound, it's just as important if not more so than the fender tag.

I was sooooo excited to find a broadcast sheet in my back seat .... more excited because it's an LA build, then I saw the VIN# and it's @ 200 off from mine ... exact same options, but not for mine.

Hard to believe that after 44-45 years that thing was still in there intact and legible! Now that unto itself is pretty cool - and amazing!

Nice find and congratulations! Do not have it laminated. Doing so can change the pigments of the 45 year old document. Go to an office supply place and get a vinyl cover  and make sure it is safe for older documents. Some of the vinyl packets are not safe for these older, very thin original build sheets. Keep the original safe, and of course, make copies for showing off at shows and cruises.
