selling on ebay
« on: July 25, 2015 - 10:02:33 AM »
what are the latest pros and cons with listing a car on ebay lately. Any tricks I should know about? What's the best day to start a listing on etc.  With the CDn dollar tanking, my car should be attractive to the US market and some exposure wouldn't hurt.

I have my car currently on EBay with zero intentions that it will sell there. With all the shill bidding and idiot bidding going on there, I really don't care what it gets bid up to.

I set a "Buy it now" price at my "asking price" and I have a reserve price set just below that.

A list with 12 decent pictures, brief description and of course my phone number.

THE ONLY REASON I put my car on EBay is because it's the cheapest form of immediate advertising.
My car received over 600 views in the first 24hrs. That's 600 people who haven't seen it before, that's 600 people that will tell two friends and so on...You can't beat that for the price.

The world is larger then Mofarts.com :smilielol:

Thing is...you'll never see my car on there again, personally I hate seeing the same cars listed over and over...That speaks volumes about the car in my opinion.  If it doesn't sell through EBay which I'm certain it won't , interested people will find it advertised elsewhere or should have copied down my number...

You're right about our dollar :money:

thx Alan,  Is there a "best" day to start a listing on? Where it will generate the most interest?
