need new tires...
« on: July 25, 2015 - 12:39:46 PM »
I have stock OEM 15x7 rallyes off a 72 RoadRunner.  I have 215 65 15's on the front and 255 60 15 on the rear.  Can I go wider in the rear?  Stock suspension set up

I am looking at Mickey Thompson Sportsman ST's.  Everyone has BFG's and want something different.

I am running a 275 /50 Nitto 555 drag radial on the rear . You can get them through Discount tire & they ship to your door .

I managed to fit 285-40-18 Nitto 555s in the rear w/ stock suspension on a Challenger.  I think 295s would fit with the right backspacing.

275 is about the limit on a 7" rim

275 50 15 is the consensus on a stock 15x7 oem rallye wheel w/ stock rear suspension?

275 is it on a 7" rim.

You can put more tire in the wheel well, but not on that rim.
