    WTB 1970 Challenger Locking Gas Cap and Mopar RWB L72 1851658 Oil Filter

    Looking for a locking gas cap insert and a Mopar red white and blue L72 1851658 oil filter.  See pics.  If you can help please let me know.

    Red Whit & blue filter was service replacement, IE the oil had been changed... Factory built the car had a green filter...

    On the gas cap you need to specify 49 state to California emissions....

    49 state = non-vented   California & 71 all = pressure vacuum

    In 70 49 state certified vehicles had an open vent into the right frame rail... California cars captured the evaporating fuel vapors & plumbed them to the engine crankcase, when the engine was started the vapors were drawn into the intake & burned... In 71 to conform with federal emissions rules Chrysler expanded the use of the evaporative controls to all vehicles sold in the US...Mostly the system worked... But there were a few crankcase explosions due to the vapors igniting... In 72 Chrysler went to a Charcoal canister similar to what GM & Ford had been using since 70...

    Not vented on the cap.  Not a CA car.  Want the RWB replacement filter.  Not the textured green assembly line one.

    Must be a later edition.  The stripes don't go all the way around.  I'm looking for one that is like the one in the pic I posted.
