Challenger production numbers in FC7
« on: August 02, 2015 - 10:39:40 AM »
Sorry I have searched a bit but could not find an answer. I know you cannot tell how many had certain combinations of colour body/tops and interiors.  I have spoken to a few people here in the UK and been told there were not many 71' challengers in FC7 can you enlighten me please. Maybe a stupid question so don't be to hard on me :clueless:

I don't have the figures for 71 in front of me, but in 1970 it was a whopping 22% of all Challenger R/T's  :screwy: or something like that...
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

It was indeed a very popular colour -- a bit over 10% of all Dodge and Plymouth models produced for '70 & '71 were painted Plum Crazy from the factory.  Proportionally, it would make sense that 2 door models were more likely to have FC7
