I had to get a hold of a new low/reverse drum since my old one was shot!!! An odd part to find needing replacement, but it has its reasons.

The bad one has two holes drilled into the middle section... Were these drilled to feed oil to the sprague? The replacement unit does not have these two holes.

Anyone know the purpose? Should I be drilling holes to match?

They look like holes for balancing the drum.
