A second one like this? Interesting junk yard find...
« on: August 08, 2015 - 02:31:22 PM »
While surfing another site this morning looking for parts, I came across this.  Certainly an interesting find !

http://www.forebodiesonly.com/forum/showthread.php?10422-New-4-door-toy-for-my-brother-and-me-to-play-with-(ok-restore)

I'm curious what the rest of the choices will be for the car.  Might look good with a white interior.

I'm a little afraid that the car is not real.  Is it the same guy who said he had a 4 door cuda?  But couldn't come up with any pictures really .  Or proof.

I'm super skeptical on this one.  If it's real, I want to go see it.

  How many different paint booth manufacturers or models are there out there?    :roflsmiley:   Everyone I have seen has all pretty much looked the same. Granted, while there are more than one way to set up a dolly, I've seen a lot of them done this way too.  Most were fabricated.  This would be cool though if there are two of them out there.

Is that red paint?  I thought it was just the way the light was hitting the primer.   :dunno:

I don't want to be taking you too seriously, but do all paint booths have that same stain/damage on the back? Again sorry if you were actually joking.

Yeah I saw this and immediately recognized the pics, is he seriously trying to pass this off on FEBO? Using photo shot to mirror the image and scale red to green isn't exactly rocket science lol if he's serious, nice try moron.  :roflsmiley:

I guess if they asked Alan, they weren't looking for an OE style job.  :roflsmiley:

:dunno:  Seems that Dave wasn't in on the joke as he posted a reply over on the other site.    :dunno:

I just had this forwarded to me from another site. You got to love it when your project gets highjacked for a few fun & games. On the other forum, one of the deadbeat moderators referred to us as "pinheads". It's hilarious however that our "critic" asked another member to borrow some money to buy a collector car that someone had posted. Maybe if he spent more time being a "pinhead" than a big shot moderator, he could afford to live the good life. I guess employment at Taco Bell doesn't provide the same success as being a big shot mod on a car forum.

The pics I've seen of his work, I see a lot of contradictory patterns and inconsistencies.  Stuff that the factory would never have done.  But again, if you are going for that look, and if you are happy with whoever's work you chose, then more power to you !   :2thumbs:
