My car insurance rates have never changed from any of my tickets.  I have state farm(full coverage), progressive(motorcycle), and viking insurance out of wisconsin(Broad Form Liability).  Never once have any of them asked about my speeding tickets.  From what I understand the only way the insurance company finds out is if you,the ticketed, tells them about it. The court does not report to your insurance agency.

Oh, and if your in other states the points deductions do not count on your home state drivers license.  So when I run across the states I haul ass.  I'll gladly pay for time.

Now I have no idea how insurance and government work in Canada, or any of the other countries reading this.

Well Josh, since you asked. The companies up here commonly run driver abstracts which go back to the day you got your licence. I've seen them.  That's not to say they do one on everyone, and if you're of a "certain" age, it's less likely. BUT, if they do, and you've gotten some big ones, don't be surprised to get a registered letter in the mail with a rebate cheque for the balance of your policy's now cancelled duration and you can bet your wee dupa that the next guys will look you up and accept/deny or charge accordingly. Then there's the tow truck weasels stretching your poor, tired sphincter to the tune of approx. $300 for the hook, $2/per k, anywheres up to $150/day outside storage, $100 administrative (that's code for pure theft) charge, $45 fuel surcharge, $100 after hours attendance at the yard, etc. etc. and don't forget to put 13% taxes on the whole shebang. The provinces all have reciprocity agreements and a ticket in Alberta may come to haunt you in Ontario. The provinces also have reciprocity agreements with most UNITED STATES, as well!! Fun? WOW!  :sadwavey:

That white bird is sweet!  You got the nice front end too.  Love the white wheels with the white paint.  Is it a special edition car?

My first bird was a 97.  Still have a soft spot for that model of car.

And I thought that our laws were out of control.  That's just ridiculous.      Speeding is just a way for the law to bring in money.  People speed every day without incident.  No need for those laws.  :2cents: :2cents: :2cents: :2cents: :2cents:

That's awesome that they left the front plate cover on.  I got that one too.  Our state requires two license plates but I have never put the front one on.  I'll gladly take a few warnings every few years instead of putting the plate on.
25th anniversary edition is pretty cool too !   Awesome you purchased it from the showroom floor.

I got 48,000 on mine.  purchased it in 98.  In that year, there were only 1400 of these produced and they were all sold in early 97 before even making it to the assembly line.  I was s.o.l.
An old lady who lease's in Denver went to get a new firebird and hated that big ugly ram air scoop.  She traded with my pontiac dealership for a standard t/a.  So I got to drive mine after one dealership guy drove it down to Colorado Springs.   I just love the car.  Nothing like it out there.
