Will a 71 Challenger Shaker Hood interchange with 70 Cuda?
« on: August 09, 2015 - 09:56:56 AM »
Wondering if the Shaker Hood setup (not the hood, just the other accessories) from a 71 Challenger will fit my 70 Cuda? I already have a Shaker Hood. I'm talking about the base, bubble, trim ring, vents, ...etc?

The underhood components (baseplate, bubble, etc) are the same for both 'Cuda and Challenger.

The hoods themselves are different, including the trim rings.

What would be a good price for all those under hood items? Someone has them all for sale, new in box purchased some time ago. He wants $1950.00

There are several different manufactures of reproduction stuff. You would need to find out where the stuff comes from.
The price doesn't sound to bad if it's good quality. :2cents:

That price is okay depending on which bubble it is. He has changed the bubble over the years. The current one isn't correct really but it's way better than some of the older renditions.

I bought my hood from AMD yesterday at Mopar Nationals. So are you saying the Northwest Performance ones aren't fitting correctly? Should I stick with AMD for the rest of of what I need?

Nope the bubbles fit correctly but some of the older ones really have a goofy shape around the grilles, you can spot them from a province away. The newer ones look fairly good.
