My speedometer are broken...  :hyper:
My question for you guys is,  if i buy a new one,  is there a problem if i want to change the backplate (where all numbers and "mph")  are,  to my old one?
The thing is that i got a original dodge challenger KPH speedometer and really want it to remain that way.. I dont want a MPH nor a MPH/KPH...  I got a pretty rare original europe car..

First of all, did you eliminate the speedo cable is not working right?

Also in addition to Redline, this place can reface or refurbish your kmh face.  Go down 3/4 of the page.

I got my GPS speedo from here... http://www.speedhut.com/about-speedometers.html No speedo cable required.

They can make what ever design you can come up with. I designed mine to look like stock but went with 140 MPH.

:iagree:  We had Redline do the GPS. amp to volt and custom grafics. Came out awesome.

Is it a rallye speedo. You can grind off the original semi-tubular rivets and switch the face. I know Mr. Heaterbox and Instrument Services will sell the rivets individually. The ones from Mr. Heaterbox need to be painted.

Keep in mind that if you buy a new speedo, the odometer and trip odometer are probably geared for miles, not kilometers. You'll probably have to swap out that gear from your old unit.

Or even the speedo gear in the transmission. Mine got chewed up somehow and the speedo didn't work until I replaced it.

Call AutoInstruments.com.  They can rebuild your original speedometer and have the correct rivets to reassemble it and your mileage will stay the same.  The original speedometers also look much better than the repros.  I didn't have much luck with a repro for my wife's car.
