only 2 real supplies for these. Metro mold and Top cat. Both have clips already installed, I prefer the top cat over the metro.

Ive seen the seals installed backwards many times. The seal will work well if the cowl is in good shape. The problem is the drivers side above the wiper motor is weak and will bend downward leaving a gap to the hood. I put a piece of flat bar under the lip above the wiper motor and the seal works great.

I bought the top cat brand while at Carlisle. I haven't installed it yet though? :dunno:

Thanks for the tip about the drivers side being down some. I checked and that's what my problem has been !!   Also, my new seal came today and I'm going to figure out a way to fasten vacuum line inside of the V so that it holds its shape better when the hood is closed.

Just make sure you install it with the "U" shape opening facing forward.  I see so many installed backwards.  Dfrazz, your pic looks like opening is facing rearward?

Unfortunately I don't own that '71 Challenger anymore so I am unable to verify.  I snapped these pics on my '70 Cuda and looked through my receipts on the resto and it a Top Cat seal.

Do you sell the Topcat brand?
(Damn my own name and I didn't even get that one the first time)
Do you match prices like the one on the E Bay link listed below?

I fixed mine and it works really good and should last a lot longer than the standard type of seal. I know its not "numbers matching", but damn it, it works !!  :)
