Well, Hmmmmmm. Lets see, is that a newer Camaro I spot the Rf of.   :thinkerg:  Heck, sell it, but never let that Rebel flag go.    :smilielol:   :roflsmiley:

                                                                                 :rebel:

One of my many projects on the list is to build a nice flagpole to get my flag outside where it belongs.

Its actually a "Texas Rebel" flag...not something that ever flew but cool nonetheless!

Pete you're my new best friend, lol. I have the same car. Only two models came with that grill trim, AAR and Gran Coupe. I can tell its a 383 by the lack of an ID pad cast in the block opposite the distributor. Mine also started out as a 383 Gran Coupe but now has a 440 transplanted from a '70 Charger. I did the same as you want to and made it into a Cuda clone until I saw the light. There is a Cuda on every corner but you hardly ever see a Gran Coupe. So I changed it back. If my two cents means anything, leave it the Gran Coupe. But do put the 440 in it!

Pete if you decide to go with the Cuda trim and you take off the grill molding in favor of the red bar let me know I'd be interested in buying it from you. Mine was long gone before I got the car. I've had my car for about 17 years also.

Man, now that is cool, Texas Rebel Flag.  :2thumbs:  I have got to find one to fly next to my " I ain't coming down" version. I lived up Fort Worth/ Arlington area 25 years. Sure miss Texas, mainly the people.  :ylsuper:

You know I can't tell you how many of these things I've looked at over the years and I've NEVER noticed the grill trim!  Funny thing about the block in the picture is that it is a 440 but its a '72.  Maybe the 72s dont have the ID pad?

You're right about the 440 Pete. Looking at the pics much closer, in the first pic the spark plug wires are covering the pad and in the second pic the fuel line is covering it.
