Nice!  :)

The 70 I looked at today started life as a 73 Barracuda, but was converted using factory convertible parts and VIN....The work looked to be done very well. :2cents:

The new owner plans on a 1970 quadruple black HEMI 5spd resto-mod....

I might end up helping out with components

As long as you don't tell Barry Washington  :roflsmiley:

Truth is....YES it's a rebody. YES it's probably illegal in most places...
...but does anybody really care ?

These guys bought the cars at auction. At the time of purchase they had NO CLUE that they were repaired using a hardtop frame/floor. The seller or disclosed that information AFTER the auction was over and the cars were paid for.

The new owners could care less....they know how rare Barracuda convertibles are not concerned with how the rusty cars were repaired. They paid accordingly and are happy with their purchase.

Dave

Went to the other guys house today to check out the 71 Hemi convertible....This guy bleeds blue with over 40 very rare and expensive Fords in his collection...I guess with Fords people are moving numbers around all the time so it really comes off as "no big deal" to him....
Whether is discloses that information when he sells it....I guess that's for the world to see.

After talking to both these guys, I don't think they are going to sell them any time soon....

Both cars will wear BH27 VINS but will be heavily modified resto-mods anyways....independent suspension all around, Hemis, 5spds, shakers, etc....so I doubt any possible future owner would be concerned about the cars originality  :2cents:

It sounds like you have a lot of work ahead of you Alan. Should I book you now for when I win the lottery?  :dunno:

I don't know if I'll be doing a lot, if any work on these cars except for continuously answering their Mopar newbie questions... I might get the nod to do some components  :grinyes:
