    Ok - One More WHAT is this Drum From

    Howdy again friends - I've decided to rebuild the 11" drum brakes in the rear and it looks like these were NOT from a 71 cuda and further I have NO IDEA what rear end this came from.  Looks like a truck maybe?   My 383 should have had a Dana in it or something right? - I have front disc and rear drum w/power booster.
    Anyways - i don't know if this was put together correct to begin with or if I purchased the correct rebuild kit.

    Looks almost identical to my 10-inch shoes and mounting of my 73... my front shoe (primary) tension springs are the short ones, though... the rest is identical... 8-3/4 '489' rear w/3.23 ratio...

    You may have the adjuster cable spring going to the wrong side of the adjuster arm, though... (my spring is on the inside of the arm, with the 'hook' pointing out where it hooks to the arm). No outward pull on the cable 'pulley' on secondary shoe...

    Those are correct 1971 11" DRUM brakes....disc brakes are completely different and were never offered on the rear end of any E Body :2cents:

    Mine is certainly not a dana.   Mine has tiny little bolts and a lot of them.

    So - the consensus is that the original arrangement of the (the way i found it is pictured) is correct enough.

    Looks correct for an 11"drum.  9"-10" go straight across.

    Sorry - Meant to say that the front was disc and rear drums were 11".   I'm working on the 11" rear drums.   Just hoping to get buy-in that the 11" arrangement that I showed is correct as the majority of pictures I see for the green spring are horizontal.
