Well I just go back from one road trip and am about to go on another but I have managed to get a little done. I think I am finally about done with the wiring harness and am about ready to install the dash.

I was looking for some labels for my push-to-start panel and I wasn't really finding anything I like, so I got the idea to use one of my label makers and made a label for my fans and fuel switches; only problem was that the labels were black lettering on a white background, so I ordered some white lettering on a black background and redid it. I have to say I am pretty happy with the results. Its a small thing but definitely makes me happy

I need to do a little painting on the A pillars so that the body color doesnt show when the windshield is in but other than that I am ready to install the dash and wiring harness; then its onto laying everything out and terminating all of them.

Oh, for anyone interested, the big blue knob is a Wilwood brake bias adjustment knob. Basically allows you to adjust brake bias on the fly. It seemed like a good idea when I was building the car and since I already had a hole there I am going with it. I might paint the knob black however as it definitely stands out (which I suspect is the point).

Looking great.  Your persistence will add to the pride this will bring.  I like the labeling. I will be converting my wiper washer to electric and need to mount a switch/push button.  I'm not sure if I will label it or not.

Why dont you just change your wiper switch to one for an electric, its a very simple connection and beats having a button someplace.

I'll have to look into the service manual for that.  I remember seeing a hole in the switched referenced for a washer pump but I've not seen how it works.  The switch moves in three positions so what triggers the pump and for how long?

BTW - I have a two speed motor and switch so I believe that the embedded washer line is not available in the switch.

Id have to look at the wiring diagram, but to answer your question, you push in on the switch to activate the washer. I am very sure you could have your cake and eat it as well. I "think" that switch connection is very similar but on a 2 speed it doesnt cover the washer terminal (could be very wrong) but even if that is the case, I think you could wire the 3 speed switch to work with your 2 seed wiper and have your electric washer. Probably a lot of work just to have it in the dash but thats how I roll....  :roflsmiley: Of course a simple momentary switch under the dash will do the same thing...

Thnks.  We had also thought about converting the foot pedal design into a momentary switch.  That way I could leave a space on the dash for fans.

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

Major mile stone today; got the dash in.  :woo: I procrastinated on installing it for a long time because I was worried I was forgetting something but it was finally time.

thanks. Its been a long time coming for sure.

Ever notice how some things come in multiples (not talking about carburetors ), what I am referring to us life experiences; in example this last week I had to remove the dash in my daughter's 99 Dakota to get at the HVAC unit and replace the heater core, and then reinstall it all. Now I get the dash in the Cuda.... maybe its just I had "Dash" on my mind...
