Seat looks very good with decent side bolster!
Autocross/road racers go in deeper... and come out harder!

Work continues, I have managed to get the taillights (trunk area) wired up along with the amp for the stereo. Still have a little work to do there. I had a friend stop by from Australia for a day (THANKS CRASH340!!!!) and help me get the windshield installed. Unfortunately I didn't get enough materials so we could not put the back window in but I will get to that perhaps next week. We were able to spend some quality time with the doors getting the weatherstripping put in (correctly this time... ), windows adjusted (again) and some minor screw replacement. Crash340 took time to fix the PS input nipple on the PS steering box on my 70 Challenger which was leaking.

I am really liking the flush windshield, still debating whether or not to black out the rain gutter stainless. I am going to wait until I have the mirrors on and maybe the hood; I think it works either way but blacked out appears more modern whereas the stainless look retains a classic feel.

Very nice!! I was able to install my glass last weekend.  A little nerve racking since it is a once and done situation but I did more than the average preparation a Glass guy would do. :roflsmiley: Thanks for your counsel.

No problem, I am sure you are happy to get that done. I’ve still got the back glass but I am close. The up side was that we able to focus on the door glass and refine them both. I’m about ready to put the interior panels in.

i did my door panels over the weekend.  They pretty much went in cleanly.  The armrest mounts on the Metro panels have J nuts for them but I removed those because the screws did no mount properly.  I had to drill for the "Cuda'" emblem and remote side mirror control.  All of the holes were marked on the underside of the panel.  Finally, the bottom clips, IMO, installed strangely to panel but they matched the holes okay.

That's great, I need to order some screws and clips for my panels. I also have to drill the drivers side door panel for the mirror and both for the Cuda emblem. I am going to put a little hushmat on the doors between the frame and outer panel. I already have it on the outside skin, but I want some on the outer frame to reduce a little vibration/noise. I also think I am going to put a vapor barrier over them as well.

Nice, I need to put a vapor barrier on my doors. One of the may ways I am losing some a/c efficiency in the summer, noise as well. I am thinking of using a closed cell foam sheet.

If it was thin enough it would work. I have Hushmat on the outer skins so I think I am good there, I am liking the vapor sheet for added noise reduction but to keep any water from getting into the car (should I ever wash it or drive it in the rain).

Thickness will be interesting, I do know BMW and other higher end models use a foam sheet for that application, it is thermoformed to the door, however.

Yeah that is true but their door panels are designed to allow it. I think that there may be some type of thin foam like product that could be used.

I chose the plastic because I figured that it was flexible for getting back into the door.  I've learned that I seldom do things only once.

I will be using plastic as well with buytl tape holding it in place. I have huhsmat on the door already so it isn't really about the sound, but I feel there should be something in there.
