I truly feel your pain. All I can add is to keep at. It turned out that I had installed the beveled washer incorrectly so all of my adjustments were in vain, close but in vain. The other thing I remember is that it requires slight adjustments and patience. I think that the first to adjust is the main door window to the front of the upright and the weatherstripping so that you get the window as far forward as possible without binding in the weatherstripping. The quarter window has more adjustments so keep it in small increments. Also I found it best with the whiskers installed.
I'm sure you've done all this too and wish I could be more specific but I honestly spent days on and off tweaking mine. My corners touch the rubber but I would not say there is a great seal. Best of luck.
Greatly appreciate the advice and comments. Perhaps I should ask "which beveled washers" are you referring to? I don't remember any but that doesnt mean they aren't there, but with all things there is a 50/50 chance they are in correctly since I cannot remember anything like that (there were 2 of working on the car, perhaps they are there and I didn't see it).
I have played with adjusting both windows and know what you mean in regards to adjusting the front one forward first (which I did) and I was making some good progress until that upper back corner jumped out at me. It seems like not matter what I adjust I cannot get it in much more. As anyone who has ever installed and/or adjusted these know, they are far more complex than they need to be but it is what it is. I am sure I will get it sorted out, but right now I dont have the patience for it.
I recently visited Cody (aka Cuda Cody) and he was saying that the piece that the weather strip goes into can (and should) be adjusted outward during the process as the screw holes are slotted. I tried this but it didn't seem to move, however I have to admit that I am using an aftermarket screw kit and I know they are not the correct screws as the originals had a flat head whereas these have a dome to them.I feel it is possible that the screws I a using perhaps are not allowing any movement. I believe that "if" the weatherstrip could be pulled out slightly it would help with the overall seal.
