Another item I think would significantly change the "visual" is window tinting.
If there is tint and it is dark, all will blend in more uniformly.

I agree but here in WA state, tinting is very limited. I have to check again but I asked a glass company once and as I recall I couldn't tint enough to make a difference.

I was able to get a few small things done. The weather has turned nice here and I was put on my wife's work farm immediately..

Got the steering column sorted mostly. Still need to do a few small things.

I also modified the package tray cover. I am running a gps speedo so I needed to install the antenna. I am thinking about covering the package tray cover with some fabric but  haven't decided yet.

I covered my tray with black vinyl.  The same vinyl as the seats.  It looks pretty clean.

I covered mine in a semi heavy black cloth. Do you see the speakers? Neither do I or anyone else. Doesn't show in pic but it has fairly large thread that gives it a bit of texture as well. I recommend...

So did you guys spray the cardboard with adhesive and stretch the fabric over it? I am thinking a thin black material of some sort.

Are you running dash speaker? I mounted my gps sensor under the speaker grille there, works great.

Yes, I have a dash speaker plus I already cut out the package tray cover so I am committed.

Yes, we used adhesive spray on the vinyl but I'm not sure about fabric.

For mine I only used adhesive on the underside. Top face no glue.

I thought of that method as well. I will probably use the adhesive on the top side

Did you have to use a steering wheel adapter for your aftermarket steering wheel? If so, which did you use?
Thanks, Wes

Yes I had to use an adapter, I took the adapter that came with the wheel and machined it down and then adapter it to a Ebody can. The column I am using is a 28” street rod GM type shaft so there was a lot of fabricating that had to be done to get it to for. The issue is that I refused to spend $800+ on an idit or flaming river column so I made my own.

Got it. I had thought your column was a stock column when I saw the crush can. Nice work!
