They never used a manual choke from the factory so it is up to you how & where you want to add one , you can run the cable through a speedo grommet or similar instead of drilling another hole in the firewall .
There are conversion kits for an electric choke on the carb you have then you can just tie in to 12v power source [blue wire] to the alt or voltage reg which would be more preferable in my mind as it is automatic .
