383 out - 440 in ?
« on: August 28, 2015 - 04:39:25 PM »
70 Cuda 383 with Tremec TKO500 5 speed

What would need changed to put a 440 where a 383 came out ? I might have a chance to get one for a very fair price.

the hockey stripe on the side of the car for sure  :roflsmiley:

Maaaan... that 440 will be beast-mode assuming it's in good running order.

Possibly the water pump housing, radiator (more cooling) and torque converter. That's about it. Pretty much a drop in and bolt up.

Now that's what I wanted to hear !!  :)

Do it!! Very few mods required since they're both big blocks, it was covered above. I'd love to see this thing once you've got the engine built up and in the car

 :iagree:

Leave the 383 stripes and stroke the 440.
