New Member 74 Barracuda
« on: August 30, 2015 - 07:19:27 AM »
Hi,
I am from Mass.
Just found this cool site. I am eager to begin restoring/modifying my new to me 74 Barracuda.
I had 3 years ago;70base with 318 A/T, a 73 'Cuda 340 4 spd, and my favorite, a 74 Barracuda with Rally package. It was a 318 but I put a 273 Formula S motor built up in it. That was 35 years ago. I have regretted selling it and now I have another, almost. I a awaiting delivery of it soon from UT.
I am looking forward to getting the car similar to what I had back in the early 80's.
Are there any others in the Ma/NH area on here?

Any suggestions?

Here are a couple pix of the "old 74" and my new to me 74.
I hope to turn the brown one into what I had back in the early 80's. The brown one is from AZ originally with factory AC. Structure is solid and has some rust thru on 1/4's and LF fender.
Most mechanical work has been done like engine and trans rebuild within last 3 years by PO.
Can't wait to get started.

Is that a burnt orange?

Too bad the manufactures of diecasts don't make 1/18 scale models of the 72 thru 74. They are missing out on collectors.
Sick seeing buying 71 'cuda's and 70 challengers in every scale.  I know trade mark costs.

It is Burnt Orange. Car was originally green.
I have a 1/24th of a 70 Cuda in the Plum Crazy color. Got it at QVC outlet store in PA about 15 years ago. Haven't seen any like it since.

Thanks.
I'm trying to get it shipped to me but, the trucking company is a broker and has not assigned a truck yet.
Looking for suggestions for transporters if any has any.

Welcome to the site! Be sure to get a reputable transport company, there are a ton of scammers in the auto transport business unfortunately.
