Gen 3 hemi swap, if you could do it over again

So, if you could do it over again, which swap products would you buy....mounts, pan,  headers, controller, ect.
I'm doing a 6.1 based stroker in a 70 challenger, and I'd like to stay with the 4-speed.

So far I'm not overly thrilled with my TTI conversion mounts, I'd be tempted to try the Schumacher's, but ensure they work with a/c and a car timing cover, if you do that.

I bought a complete truck engine, only to find out i needed to change out quite a bit of it to run the car timing cover and accessories. If you buy a 6.1L, that wouldn't be much of a problem.

My Moroso pan seems to work fine with the stock K and my bell housing, I haven't gotten headers in yet. For headers I plan on trying the $425 Doug's. From what I've seen, TTIs need some "finessing" to get them to fit and I much rather dent up $425 headers than $800 ones.


...That's about as far as I am right now. Most of my focus has been on the 6spd conversion.

Thanks for the reply.  Yeah, I'll be running a 6.1 front cover.  I was also looking at the dougs headers, and leaning towards the Schumacher mounts. 
You'll like the t56.  I did one in a late dart sport behind a magnum stroker.

Change from the Mopar AEM PCM to a Holley , MSD or Hotwire.. Do a Moser 9 instead of a 8.75 rear. Both things I will change in the future ..

With the AEM uses analog technology . It has to be tuned for each modification you do to the engine EI cams , porting , intake ect... Lots of companies now have self learning systems that need minimal tuning.  :bigsmile:

I just got off the phone with Schumacher, sounds like their motor mounts locate the engine a little lower than TTI's.
I'm going to try the Schumacher ones also due to the fact I like the connections better.

I would have gone with an aftermarket stand alone PCM instead of trying to use the factory PCM...

I'm in the process of deciding that right now, any recommendations? I have the factory harness and computers.

Well, I decided to go with the Hotwire harness, 2009 computer and Diablo tuner.   Showed up yesterday. 
Now I'm trying to to figure out if I want to use the factory harness or American autowire for the rest of the car.

Is that a factory computer? I'm a little confused on harness/computer pricing, Bouchillions system runs 3300. Modern Muscle sells a system for 1300... Hotwire seem good, Chris really knows his stuff.

Yes, factory computer.  I'm going to be using a manual trans, so I'm sure that's part of Chris's recommendation for this package.
