Restoration of 1972 Cuda Dash Pad
« on: September 07, 2015 - 07:47:05 PM »
I have a 1972 Cuda, E-Body, which needs the dash pad restored. Does anyone know who does a good job and priced right. This will not be a show vehicle, a daily driver.   Thanks

Just Dashes are the best, but expect to wait a while. Ultimate rides can be a bit puffy.

I personally believe it's the other way around....at least that has been my experience. I've installed over a dozen UR pads....and only dealt with JD once or twice. Just my opinion :2cents:

You could be right; I have only looked at them and probably less than a dozen of each. I purchased a JD because of what I saw, however when I was at the nationals I talked to a couple of guys with UR pads that were satisfied.

I guess the bottom line here is do some home work and make your own decision. I will say JD is slow as crap; months. not sure if that is different with UR.

Sounds like he won, wonder if he ever got the money though.
You'll find many horror stories with Allen, I feel fortunate to have gotten past my limited dealings.

Buyer beware!

Hi everyone, I ordered my pad from UR at The Nats. in Columbus on 8-8-15 .Allen fox told me 3 to 4 weeks. I also paid for the dash there. He doesn't return calls at all. I found out dash pros are some how related to Ultimate rides? I file a report with the better business in Texas. Not sure if I'll ever see my dash? or my money back. :banghead:

I turned in my dash pad core to Alan Fox ultimate rides at Carlisle PA Chrysler car show  2015. I paid to have it recovered. I've called multiple times and every time he says he will ship it out. Now he will not even answer his phone. I have filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau recently. I have to wait and see what happens. If he does not respond to the Better Business Bureau I will take it further.

If you paid by CC, get them involved.
