:newbie:My Member name is Glow Worm . . . Short story is I work with radioactive materials. I am 62 years old. I bought my first new Mopar in 1974.
I just bought a 73 'Cuda on 9-5-15. This is my third. The first was a 64 and the last one was a 66. I decided to jump the 2nd gen cars and get into a real 'Cuda. I am from southern Ohio and found the car approximately 65 miles from my house. It is a 3 owner car (now) and has just over 58,000 original miles on it. So far all I have done to it is clean it up, remove the nearly disintegrated windshield washer bottle. Compared to the 2011 Challenger I just sold, the car seems a bit sluggish, but I will be working on that. The seller gave me all of the parts that have been removed from the car over the past few years including the factory resonators, Thermo-Quad carb, and ignition parts. I don't think I am going to put the car back to "original" so I will probably be getting rid of the stuff. All in all it is a very solid, no-rust, car with one re-paint in 1996. It seems as though 90 percent of everything on the car is working as it should except the dash lights, the clock, and the A/C. I have already ordered a new washer bottle and carpet, and have inquired (on here) about getting a re-built dash dimmer switch. The previous owner says the radio works, but so far I haven't heard it making any music. Haven't got any pics to post, but will be doing that soon. I'm looking forward to any and all help I can get from you guys. Thanks for having me!
