thanks!

My current one looks like the first MD2271 but has a female receptor for the dash light.

Maybe your car was an original drum brake car that someone added front disc to :dunno:

Great photo!  Thank you...

Follow-up > what is the fitting called that slides over the brake line at the ends?   They're 3/8-24 & 7/16-24 but I can't figure out what they're called.

Finally - what size tubing are you using????

Your best bet is to buy pre-bent lines from Fine Lines Inc....they don't cost that much and they're an exact fit. :2cents:

Never use thread sealer on brake or fuel lines.   :nono:

Crap... Bleeding my valve resulted in fluid loss from the large reservoir when bleeding the rear and small when doing the front.

I used a mbm replacement proportioning valve and metering valve.  I followed the setup via the online instructions and am at a loss for what I did wrong.

The large portion of the master cylinder is for the front disc brakes. Is it possible you got the two lines at the master mixed up ? Did you make your own lines ?

I can't imagine that I had it switched backwards.   I made my own lines and have since decided that I made a mistake as one of them leaks.   I've just bought the jumper and two MC lines from SSTUBES/Fine Lines today.

I cannot imagine that the MBM link showed the wrong hook-up.   Do you have any pics that show the routing from the MC to your PV/MV?   I lose viability from your shot above.

Anybody know what that metering valve does on the second one?

yes, it delays, ever so slightly, the the front discs from engaging.  It allows for the back drums to grab hold a wee bit before the discs.

This is a great tech article from 1967:
http://www.imperialclub.com/Repair/Lit/Master/233/page06.htm

Having the Metering Valve, keeps the front end from locking up first, and the rear from fishtailing around.

^^ The above valve is what i'm using to determine routing... The problem I see is that the valve to the rear ( LARGE MASTER CYLINDER SIDE ) goes to the REAR brakes.   WHAT THE HECK
