833 aluminum tailshaft (pros and cons)
« on: September 11, 2015 - 06:52:04 PM »
Fixing to build another 833 for my challenger and have an aluminum tail shaft that (I believe) will fit. I'm thinking it was on a pickup overdrive ??? not sure. Question is will it fit and work on a standard 18 spline 833, and IF it will, should one use it?  Just thinking out loud here.....

I assume you are talking about an alum tailshaft housing , honestly I have never seen one , all use a cast iron housing even the OD that I have seen . unless it came off a mid 60s race trans but then it would only have the forward shift mount
