I do not believe anyone is making new inserts , Dave usually carries top quality porducts , you do have to remove the emblem & distroy the swedged pins to replace the decals

How do you reattach it? Tap it and then Screws? Glue?

Mark did it on mine. I don't think he removed the emblem. Not sure. I'll ask.

They sell the woodgrain two ways, one with the fratzog cut out which is the easy way...  The other that they sell it is as a full decal... On that one you grind off the swaged metal on the back of the insert leaving the two pins... Replace the woodgrain & reattach the fratzog using your choice of techniques... I've seen them glued... I've seen the two pins drilled & tapped with a #2 tap.. & I've seen guys try to solder onto the pins.... I think the screws at the best method...

I changed mine to a Carbon Fiber overlay,
As mentioned, grind off the swedge and a couple drops of epoxy when you put it back.

Well the rest of the car is a numbers matching , concourse restoration don't ya know! You custom guys just suck!  :icon16:
I finally picked up my interior panels that Murray had stored for me since last March, so I thought I'd clean up the inserts too. It never stops, you get a new part then the parts next to it look like crap and it snowballs from there!  :pullinghair:

Is this auction correct in that 70 had a different colour?  :dunno:

I got into a conversation about this with Performance Car Graphics.  There seems to be two different colors.  :1zhelp:

Added: I got the darker ones made by 3M.

Thanks. Is the e-bay auction correct in that 70 only had a different colour?
