Fuel pump for 950 cfm carb
« on: September 13, 2015 - 03:03:12 PM »
I've been researching mechanical fuel pump. Motor will be a 512 stroker with a Holley double pumper. I don't mind running a regulator if I have to.

The carter ones look to have too small of a bowl, been looking at the edelbrock ones, any suggestions

a quality mechanical that will give you 6 to 7 psi
make sure at least 3/8 inch inlet and outlet on pump, as flow
rate is just as important as pressure.

You want to make sure you have the right size line to. I am going threw this on my build. I am going to switch to electric fuel pump and call it done.

I have been running this pump for years with zero issues in my 528" Hemi pushing 800 HP. This pump feeds 2 - 750 Holley HP's through a regulator set at 6.5 psi.
