Door panel hitting strike plate

 I bought a full interior set of panels, they seem to fit ok but not great. The biggest problem is that they hit the strike plate. It seems that after my car went a full resto the rocker panel seems to be higher. I had to trim 1/2" off my old panels so they would clear. Anyone else encounter this ? I just want to check before I start cutting new panels

If you are talking about the sill plates...... I had to remove the carpet from under them and also give them a mild tweak down to clear the new door panels....
