Never seen a 12 Gigabyte jpeg. What kind of camera are you shooting with? How big is your raw file a couple terabytes?  :22yikes: :scared:
I just bought a new Nikon D7200 dslr. Only taken about 100 pics so far. 24.1 mp sensor.  :bananasmi
Also picked up an 18-300mm zoom for wildlife photos.

That would be a huge file, Scott. My Canon 5D Mark III, with a similar pixel count, turns out RAW files in the 50-60 MB range, so more than an order of magnitude smaller.

I know that there's a menu in Photoshop, I think it's the save menu, that gives some memory number. I'm not sure, but I think that's some loosey-goosey number representing how much operating RAM is needed to work with that image.

A few more hours to submit, so I hope we get a few more  IF anybody who submitted didn't hear back from me, like Scott, then make sure you drop me a line at

and we'll get it all right.

Thanks to everyone who submitted an image.

Pretty soon I'll post up the images, and leave a note here when that's done. We'll take 2-3 days to give everyone a change to verify their images, and then we'll open up the voting.

48 hours later (yesterday) I sent you again an email, but still no reaction.

Thanks for the prod, Roland. Both were in my spam folder. The image looks good, and I'll add it tonight.

I'm right there with you. Being black, it's kind of the anti-Vanishing Point car.
