Can you sharpen pictures submitted?

I don't have photoshop or have used it before.

There's a long-winded answer to that, Mike. The short form is yes, within limits.

The long form is "Whatever was captured was captured. There are tools which, within limits, can make a soft image appear sharper, and used judiciously they can work OK. The better solution is to get a sharp image to begin with."

I'm dealing with this same issue on my website right now. There's an image I shot that looks great in the camera viewfinder, and looks OK on a computer screen. Once I enlarged it to 13x19 however, I can see that it's soft, and no amount of sharpening is going to overcome it.

I've got a weird situation. I have an image, which appears to have been created this year, so I'm thinking it was a submission...but I don't have any email associated with it. I'm going to try describing it and see if anybody steps forward to claim it. Don't want to accidentally leave anyone out.

It's a 70 Challenger, kind of burgundy, shot from a low angle, against a mostly white structure that I think is a modern house.

I do not have this image anywhere else, like, say, the entry log where I record everyone's data and which has all the images that will be posted for the poll. So, if it's yours, and you want to submit it for the calendar, follow up with me and give me all your entry data. Even if you don't want to enter it, follow up with me, 'cause I'm kind of curious as to where this came from. I'm religious abut how I process images, and I don't recall seeing this before tonight, in one of my temp folders.

Mystery solved, at least kinda sorta. A member made two submissions and I only processed the one. Still don't know how a copy ended up in my Temp folder, but computers are essentially magic.

Saturday midnight is the deadline. At least for hundreds of miles around me, the weather is calling for blue skies and sun. Go get some pics!

By the way, there are no A-body submissions so far. What the hell?

Any of the bottom three, with a preference for the third.

If you have an image before HDR was applied, I think that will look better, but that's a personal preference. Some people really like HDR.
