If you have spark plug interference problems,
Summit would take them back, since it was stated
in the sales info.

don't you have to install a cam that matches the heads, or they might
be a waste of money?

Summit has very good customer service IMO so i feel comfortable ordering from them. Yes the cam will need to be changed to take full advantage of the additional airflow. I'm thinking Lunati Voodoo flat tappet hydraulic like the 704 or a Comp XE.

I'd get a tad more valve spring than you need, as valve springs
weaken over time.

I'm debating if it would be worth it to sell my edelbrock heads and buy the TF 240's

That's a tough question to answer! TF hasn't shipped any 240 heads, so no one has done a side by side dyno test yet. I would like to see a comp myself. :clueless:

for another 30 hp at 6000 rpm? probably not worth it, as you can get the extra
30 hp other ways, like cold ram air injection.

I think that if you are looking for more HP, go with Super Stealths, or something with Max Wedge style ports (Eddy Victor or Indy etc.) intake manifold would need to be changed as well of course.

I'm definitely trying to keep stock port locations.  if I can get decent money for my old heads the total cost would be low.  I'm going to wait and see what the real numbers are on these things. And wait for the initial price to come down (it always does) then decide if its worth it or not.  Nice thing about reselling heads is, its not like they really wear out.

TF's outflow Super Stealths, from what I recall.

There's no flow numbers on the Super Stealths, they unfinished as supplied and use offset intake rockers. They can be CNC ported out to Max Wedge and possibly beyond. The standard Stealths have flow numbers posted on 440source. close to TF'S.

Well I checked the Summit website on Wednesday for the latest update on availability for these Trick Flow heads and was surprised to see that they're in stock for immediate shipment. So I ordered a pair of them and a few days later, two big boxes show up FedEx.... A pair of  Trick Flow Powerport 240 BB Mopar cylinder heads! The CNC work looks very impressive. There is very little of the "dog leg" left in the intake port compared to the factory 906 casting, and the heart shaped combustion chambers have been polished as smooth as glass. The cast in rocker shaft supports have been widened substantially as well. Now for a cam choice! The fun begins!

I'll take some pics tomorrow (Sunday) of these TF heads next to a stock 906 bare casting that I've got in storage for anyone interested. TF did a super nice job IMHO!
