Part of the motivation behind this thread is that I have a line on a motor fairly cheap. If I think I can get that motor and get it in the car and running for, say, $1,000, I might do it. If, it's more like $5,000, I almost definitely won't. Anywhere in between, I have to think about.
Fuel system $400
ECU of some sort, OEM re flash or standalone $1500
Motor mounts $300
Headers $450, I'm not sure of stock manifolds that fit, but they'll be $150 or so right there
Cable throttle body $380
Radiator, looked at it, both pass side in/out $240
Not OEM Hemi power steering pump $250, or go manual
Oil pan $250
That's about as little as it could be without the incidentals and setting stuff up. Throttle cable, lockdown linkage from a TB to 727, air filter/intake setup, etc
I'd almost say you "couldn't" get it running on EFI for less than $2500-$3000. Unless you got some fire sale from someone that was midswap and had to dump parts.
