Just watched season 5 episode 2. Definitely better than the previous seasons.
The TorRed 70 340 Cuda belongs to my wife's cousin Bob. I supplied the 70 340 block and the heads for his car since it did not come with an engine.
Bob is very happy with the car. I haven't been down to visit since it was finished but hope to get our cars together next summer.
We are about 300 miles apart so maybe we'll meet somewhere in the middle like Portland OR. for a car show...
Did meet Mark and Royal back in 2012 when they started Bob's Cuda. They seemed very down to earth in person.
I sent Bob links to C-C.com and encouraged him to join... I know he has full photo documentation of the restoration start to finish.

Okay...I just watched S5E2 on Youtube.....
The show is very watchable if you like Mopars, but I certainly wouldn't use it as reference material....

The in-accuracies are abundant and I also understand that they want to show some of the blunders that apparently happen in restorations shops, but some things they show only paint a bad picture for their business in my opinion.

For example: You have three intelligent guys standing over a car trying to get it started only to find out the reason it's not getting gas is because there's no sending unit in the tank :screwy: :scared: Like who the heck installs the gas tank. and everything around it like the exhaust etc....with no sending unit ? To me that just plain stupidity and shows a shop rushing around to get the cars finished and out the door....it's not good.

I guess we all have our own ways of doing things, but showing that kind of stuff on TV on makes this shop look bad in my opinion... :2cents:

Over-all I like the show...can do without the chicken dancing :icon16:

I point out what Alan said: reference material... Every episode is about 45 minutes, if they could just put 10 minutes of it in showing clearly educational gearhead material, that would be awesome. But this is TV we are talking about...

Graveyardz was decent show the other evening.
The thing that bugs me on all of these rebuild shows is no face masks when sanding the vehicles.   :dunno:
Know 2 people that have died from lung cancer that sanded cars.   :angelwings:

I think GYC has delivered what the fan base asked: cut out/down on the drama and show more details on restorations.  I love this show!

I see a lot of no safety glasses either...just asking for trouble.

Shows better, but it's only been two episodes  :dunno:
