Garage Squad - '73 Challenger
« on: September 29, 2015 - 10:15:41 AM »
I'm not sure how many of you have watched Garage Squad but its one of the better "restoration" shows out there IMHO.  I ike this show because they do everything in the guys garage, just bring in their tools and order up the parts, and they just get it running and improve the looks a little without fully restoring the car. Tonight at 9pm central time they work on a '73 Challenger.  The Garage Squad is on Velocity channel.

:iagree: It is one of the better shows, they come in and get A stalled project going the way the owner wants it.

I like the show because it reminds me of having a great friend stop over and push you to get the car going. They are by no means show cars when done but they run and drive. Most importantly they are SAFE.

I like how they take a long dormant car out for a thrash AND BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF IT!!! Just makes me smile!!!

Saw that episode as well & watch the show regularly.  Only issue I had with the first few episodes was that they channeled their inner Chip Foose and put large diameter wheels on everything.  After that, they seemed to ask the owners what they actually wanted who almost always went with more of a period correct and better looking wheel (imho).  That and they LOVE putting Edelbrock heads on all their cars!

Understandable, but in the latest show they put an Edelbrock top end kit: heads, intake and cam kit on an old non-rebuilt possibly high mileage 305 small block Chevy short block.  As much as I like most of what they do it makes zero sense putting that kind of top end on a questionable short block.  Just my .02
