You know, that's a pretty car! That's a nice styled coupe and the V8 makes it just that exotic enough. I don't know if I'd've ever parted with that thing. What was it like to get the 302 in it and did it use the Datsun trans or the Ford one?

. It was actually an easy fit for the motor, lots of room in the front. I bought a pre-fabricated cradle and transmission mount that bolted right into the frame. This swap has been done so many times that there are lots of people fabricating cradles, headers, custom half shafts and many other parts. I used basically the stock rear end, but it was out of a 300zx turbo, which has the same ring and pinion size, but with limited slip.
I got on it hard all the time, but never popped the clutch hard for fear of snapping the halfshafts. They can take quite a lot of abuse but I didn't want to find the limit. It was tons of fun to drive.
Didn't really want to sell it, but ran across a piece of property in Montana that my wife and I wanted badly, so it was given up for the deposit on our retirement dream.
