What Alan is eluding to is T/A's weren't supposed to have wheel well trim... So if the build sheet is coded for them it breaks the rules....   Row 9 on the sheet Code is M26...

Yes, I've heard there's a possibility they exist, but I've never heard of one. This car has the California emissions too which is neat !

My understanding was that the two pilot car T/A's had wheel well trim, but none of the regular production T/As did.
Both pilot T/As were in my area at one time, a friend of mine restored the FC7 one in the late 90s.
The other one was originally FJ5 but it was FE5 when I would see it at some local shows around 20 years ago.  After a while never saw it again, I wonder what happened to it.
Here is the only picture I could find of my friend's former FC7 pilot car, he sold it 14 or 15 years ago.

Well now that you made that info public...you can bet you're in a registry now whether you like it or not :smilielol:

Wasn't worried about the registry, just didn't feel that signing up was much of a benefit.  Personal opinion of course.

Welcome from CO!  Besides the motor and trans, what else are you restoring on the car?

Over the next 2 years the whole car is going to be restored.  Currently the hood, grille, headlight bezels, rear fin, are at the body shop getting done.  Ill be purchasing most of the parts I need over this winter and next summer, also building a rotisserie, and then this time next year the car will be fully stripped, and painted.  My thought is, that if i get everything I need over the winter/summer, I would only have to purchase a few things that come up after stripping the car, making it easier on the wallet during the paint/body work.  My body guy needs about 8 months to go through the stripped car, which in theory, would put reassembly of the car in early spring, at which I could get the car together for summer.  This is my plan, I know things come up, but you have got to have a plan right?  lol
