1970 Challenger Hood latch
« on: October 13, 2015 - 04:20:20 PM »
So I understand that the secondary hook, the one bolted to the hood, the one you always hit your head on, I understand it's unique to 1970.....71 and up used a pull lever type thing.

Does anybody have a picture of the correct 70 latch hook ? I think I might need one.

I have the impression that this is not right for a 70 'cuda. I think that the cudas have a smaller one, on the pressing lever

Because the Challenger has a longer hood, needs a longer lever. I think this is the right for a 'cuda...

Yea :crying: I just confirmed with the parts manual that the 70 Cuda is different then 70 Challenger.

Al. Check with Stephan Fournier. I bought one off of him at Mopar Fest all plated and ready to go for about $90.00 CDN.

Stephan is all out.....
It sounds weird, but I'm going to be looking for the same date that on this car's sequential brother and at this point I don't know what date this is.....so hold on to that thought...

I'm very curious to get these two cars together to see how close the dates are on parts like wiper motors, latches, blower motors etc...You would think on the line they would be grabbed from the same batch so the dates would be the same :dunno:
